Entain Group, one of the global leaders in sports betting and gaming operations, has announced the acquisition of Angstrom Sports, a specialist US provider of sports betting forecasting and analytic solutions. According to the operator, the acquisition deal will be closed for the total of £ 203 million. The total will reportedly be split into an £81 million payment and a certain number of installments totaling a maximum of £122 million and due for payment over the three-year period.
About the Provider:
Angstrom Sports is a provider specialized for the analysis of sports betting data aimed to help operators and players avail of the data supplier’s forecasting and modelling capabilities. The scope of Angstrom’s offerings is featured by speed and accuracy as the highly desired properties of its modelling process that made the supplier stand out. The fact that the company expanded its high quality products across the US sports betting market seems to be the reason for Entain to include the talented provider into the group’s organizational chart.

Entain will use the acquisition to remain the only operator with a complete in-house sports betting analytic technology that will facilitate more predictive – and more secure – risk and pricing procedures for the operator’s US sports betting business. According to the company, ”the combination of Angstrom’s innovative data-driven capabilities alongside Entain’s global scale and market leading platform will offer [their] customers an unrivaled US sports betting experience.”

With the in-house sports betting tools now brought a level up, the operator will be in a position to expand the number of betting opportunities for players, who will be able to take advantage of the high-end analytics to optimize their wagering preferences. At the same time, Entain will reportedly benefit from the accelerated price analyses and risk management procedures over the long term.
